When I first went to Seremban, I learnt that they are famous Siew Pow with sticky pork fillings under the cripsy chinese pastry. Ever since then, it had marked a deep impression in my mind. Unfortunately, Seremban pastries was not that "In Trend" during those days. Baked to golden brown perfection, these traditional flaky crusty and polished Siew Pow has a delightful aroma. Siew Pao Comes with 2 kinds of Fillings, Chicken and Pork. The only way to differentiate them is the sesame toppings on top of the chicken Pow Pastries. As we had our first bite of the Siew Pow, the sticky pork fillings was juicy and delicious. Once you put into your mouth, it melts! Yum Yum! Beside having their signature Siew Pows, they have pastries like Pineapple tarts. Specially made with the pineapple jam encased with the golden brown pastry too. Fillings tasted just right and not of the sweeter side. Perhaps a fusion of the Portuguese and the normal English egg tarts in its appearance. The buttery fragrance had overwhelmed us as we take this mini tarts out from its baking aluminum cups. Seremban Kee Mei Siew Pow has a number of outlets in Singapore now. One do not have to travel all the way to Malaysia to enjoy such delicate pastries as its available within the island now. For those who yet to try these well known seremban pastries, do take a chance and have a try.
