below average bak kwa. cheaper than other competitors but you get what you pay for. the texture is very hard. and it has a sickening overly sweet taste. there are no charred bits - which is good. very oily to the point of sickening. nice and shiny to look at but not good to eat. service is fast - in the sense that they try to get you to pay quickly, before you can think about it too much. not recommended! costs about $8 for this pack.

Walked past it and the shiny red meats caught my eye. A bad decision was made to buy some bak kwa.I asked for 2 pieces and he put 3 in the bag. The bag got sealed and then i was asked to pay $6 for the 3 pieces. That's $2 a strip! I got the strip bak kwa as it was cheaper than the normal square ones and also the guy said it was made of lean meat while the square ones are made of middle and fattier meat. Absolutely nonsense.It was so oily I had trouble finishing even one piece without gagging. It was also sickeningly sweet. Now I know why there's no one in the shop everytime I go past! And also why it's supposed to be 40% off! Their idea of 40% off is 40% off the competitor's prices. Their bak kwa is not comparable to the competitor's at all! It is very inferior. 40% off should be their normal pricing for such poor quality meat.The shop assistant kept trying to get me to buy more, and said that if i bought 500 gm, they'll give me 50% off! Their pricing is too confusing.The only saving grace this company's bak kwa has is that it's not burnt. There's no burnt bits, unlike Bee Cheng Hiang which is mostly burnt bits.Nevertheless it is not recommended unless you like poor quality bak kwa.
