The famous hokkien dumpling from this food centre. I wanted the one with salted egg but the friendly uncle told me it is not ready yet. I was left with the choice of nyonya dumpling and the chicken dumpling. This was my first time came across a chicken filling dumpling. There were chunks of chicken meat in the dumpling with mushroom too. The glutinous rice has a nice sticky texture and nicely cooked.

This is another old stall famous for different types of traditional Hokkien dumplings. I was there near 1 pm and some of the dumplings are not ready. I was given a choice between the chicken dumpling and nyonya dumpling. I decided to try both. The chicken dumpling is priced at $3.00 and the nyonya dumpling at $2.30. This was my first time came across a dumpling with chicken filling. I was rather eager to try it. The Uncle unwrapped both dumplings and served them on disposable plates. The dumplings were served with their special chilli powder aside.The chicken dumpling was a good choice. Chunks of well seasoned chicken meat found in the dumpling. The glutinous rice was nicely flavoured and well-cooked to moist texture. I do think the chicken dumpling is a much more healthier as compared to their pork dumpling as absolutely no trace of pork fat found in this chicken dumpling. What gotten me all excited was that chunk of salted egg yolk beneath. It was such a joy eating it.
