Lunch time at Novena Thomson.Saw this small outlet kisok at Goldhill square and also saw a long Q.So I decided to try it.Yes, the taste is almost the same you can find it at Katong.$4.50 for the small bowl.If you really like laksa and this small bowl is too small. Upsize it.The soup base has not mush of the coconut taste. Can say is healthly and the cockles they give is a lot. almost 8 pcs of small cockles.Overall.

There was laksa craving from the missus and we headed down to United Square for the 328 Katong Laksa outlet located there.328 Katong Laksa at the junction of Ceylon Road has always been our favourite laksa stall. The laksa base is creamy, thick and fragrant and the ingredients were always fresh. Thinking that the standard will be the same at their United Square outlet, we proceed to order 2 large bowls.First look, the soup base is neither creamy not fragrant. The smell of the chili oil is quite overwhelming. The been hoon wasn't cut properly and there are many long strands in both bowls. First taste of the soup confirms our suspicions. The chili oil makes you eat your laksa properly else it will be a disaster if you happen to choke slightly. The prawns are frozen ones and well, taste frozen. Overall a bad experience and one outlet we will never go back to.

328 Katong Laksa is a popular stall, it has many outlets around. Design of stall is quite attractive, quite packed at times but able to find seat. service is fast toothe Katong Laksa served here is flavorful yet affordable Flavorful with depth, little spicy kick and satisfying comfort to the soul. The soup is fragrant too with coconut milk, not really oily (just the right thickness), prawns were fresh.bad point: the noodles given not very generous thoughoverall: best laksa in singapore!
