Wasn't full after eating lunch so went for a second round of food @ A Mei. This place is clean but a bit stuffy when it comes to ventilation and has limited seats We ordered Egg Prata & Mushroom Cheese Prata and it was made quickly and served.The Egg prata was a bit stale as it has been left on the counter for awhile. Had to make up for it by dipping into the warm curry sauce.On the other hand, the Mushroom Cheese prata was crispy on the outside and springy cheesy on the inside and there were lots of mushroom which I like!Shows that this place has potential but you need to “ask” for it to be made fresh.

Ah Mei Cafe has several branches in Singapore. I tried the Sembawang one and I think the food served was pretty decent. I ordered this bowl of noodles which comes with roasted chicken dripping in soy sauce. This was good because the noodles remained tangy, albeit looking rather dismal in this picture. The chicken was still decent but slightly too fatty so I suggest you remove the skin and fats from the chicken before eating.

The curry chicken is quite nice.The chicken is tender and soft.And the curry is very concentrated.IT is nice,and it has not much of coconut milk.So i can eat it as many as possible without worry about my stomach.The rice is also quite nice,a simple fried rice.Not too dry or oily.It is just nice.But feel weird to drink coffee with these kind of food.

Everytime I walk passed this small corner of cafe I saw the shops always full with people and I was wondering why this cafe so popular. One day I asked my friends to have dinner there and I finally found out the reason. The nasi briyani was nice, the curry was so fragrant and have authentic smell. And the smell can just spread to very far so that's why the cafe was so crowded everytime. The drumstick was tender and the rice was also very fragrant. I like the vege pickles as it is refreshing and just like a appetizer of the dish.

Ah mei cafe let me think of "ya kun" But price & taste was totally difference Normal big Prata is expensive & just SOSO,abit oily,skin was quite crispy but not much taste,But their mini prata was nice,a plate for 5-6pieces with mild butter fragrance,The curry was thick & spicy Overall i rate 7/10
