Chai's Nippon Teppanyaki - Food Junction (已結業)

The Japanese food here was quite popular with the lunchtime crowd and there was a queue. Perhaps it is because the set meals were decently priced at around $5.50 each. Nevertheless, the food was decidedly average. The tempura prawns were not too bad but I found them a little too oily. The fried fish tasted like any typical fish fillet. However, portion was alright for the price.

I like the teppanyaki from this stall. Normally teppanyaki is very outside when you eat at restaurants but this food court stalls sells very reasonably priced teppanyaki and the standard is comparable to that of those teppanyaki restaurants. I ordered the curry pork and sweet and sour fish set. The curry pork is just so good, very thin and no fats. It is very tender and topped with those Japanese curry. The fish was very fresh, the meat was very sweet. it was really delicious.

I happened to be in the vicinity of funan digital mall so my girlfriend and I decided to head there for dinner. The food court was pretty quiet even though it was dinner time. She ordered the hotplate for the teppanyaki stall for us to share. She ordered the two meat dish which cost $6.80. it consist of sliced pork and grilled fish. The pork was cooked in curry sauce while the fish was cooked in sweet and sour sauce. The portion was really large that she could barely finish half of it so I finis
