My colleague helped me to pack back a bowl of this deep fried fish soup from this stall in this Kopitiam. For the price of $4.30 is consider affordable. Generous amount of soft fish meat can be found in it. Which the outer layer is equally soft and easy to chew. The added soya bean make the soup base even more sweet and flavourful. Their fried fish always fresh and big portion, have 5-6 pieces, the soup is flavorful and tasty. This is one of my favorites! It is a must-order dish whenever i go to Plaza Singapura. Although there are many other better food places, i will still patronize this stall.I highly recommend this as the soup is not salty and it tasted better with milk. The main highlight is the fried fish - it is very fresh and big. The usuals are the seaweed and the additional ingredients for soup. I will usually opt to top up the fried fish as the usual portion is not enough. And that cost me an additional of $1 for 2 pieces. This is one of my favourite stall whenever I pass by Plaza Singapura after a long walk of shopping here. Even though long queue can be expected during meals' hours, I still do not mind to join in the queue as their fish soup is simply delicious. I think this is one of the best fried fish noodle soup in Singapore. The pieces of fried fish are really big and they give about four pieces in each serving. If you like to have something light and not too sinful for a meal, this fish soup from Kopitiam will be quite a good choice. The deep fry sliced fish are not too oily and is in quite big slices. The fish are soft and smooth with no stingy smell in it. Love the soup base as it is quite sweet and tasty, but do note is quite salty as well so you may feel abit thirsty after eating it. I was looking for something that was not fried, not spicy and not savoury so I chose to fall back on the trusty fish soup. The fish soup from this stall is on the whole not bad, but I found the bee hoon a little too thick. It was more like chu mee fen than bee hoon really. Went to PS and decided to take a look at the food court, found this famous fish soup stall called cheng long fish soup. They have branches in Vivo and compass point, this is their third branch. I heard from a friend that the sliced fish soup or beehoon soup is not fantastic. I tried the fried fish beehoon soup, the fish was fabulous, and the soup was tasty. I always love cheng long's fried fish soup that some days I would purposely make the trip down just to eat it. Their normal one bowl with rice serving would never satisfy me, i would have to order the steamboat version to satisfy that craving.The fish they used are always very fresh, they will fry it to golden brown and crispy. Despite deep frying the fish, the fish did not become dry up.Their soup is very milky and smooth, I love the way it flows down my throat. I love the fish soup with milk at plaza singapura food court. The steamboat fish soup is very worth it, for the price of five dollars, you get a mini steamboat. The portion is quite big, can eat up to two people. I would normally share with my girlfriend. The soup taste very milky and thick, unless some which is very watery. The fish they use is very fresh, after deep frying still very sweet and juicy. They are very generous with their vegetables as well. The soup is very smooth and tasty. Very value for money too.
