One thing I like at crystal jade bakery is the ma Lai Goh. The pastry is actually a sponge cake that is steamed and slightly flavored with brown sugar to give it the brown appearance. The cake is fluffy moist and especially good eaten on the spot when it is freshly steamed and warm. A very simple snack but it is done well, and satisfies my craving for ma Lai Goh.
