The range of sweet and savoury deep fried local snacks were done on the spot and fried in the hot oil. They are vegetarian friendly and is popular by the young and old. Can't resist the golden exterior of those Ham Ji Peng (Salted Bun) and Butterfly Bun("Hui Ji" in Hokkien) and decided to get them at $0.70 each. After a disappointing lunch, i was looking for some snack. This stall only left a few items and amongst them was this. I wanted a sweet one initially but already sold out so i settled for the salted bun. It tasted a bit oily but it was light and fluffy in texture with a bit of salty taste within. Overall, it tasted quite nice. I like it to go with coffee for breakfast or snack.
