My mum and I were at Great World City and after our shopping at the supermarket, we decided to rest our feet and have some desserts. We ordered the pulut hitam as it has been very long since we last had it. Pulut hitam is essentially black glutinous rice pudding and it is usually eaten with coconut milk. It can be quite a filling dessert, so we decided to share it instead of eating one bowl by ourselves. The glutinous rice dessert is quite thick and it is more sweet than I would have preferred it to be. The coconut milk does help in enhancing the flavour as it helps to negate the sweetness and also add a different dimension of flavour to the dessert. I would still prefer home-cooked pulut hitam by my mum.

The dessert stall here sells many different types of hot and cold local desserts. I ordered my usual honey few sago dessert which costed slightly more than two dollars. The sweetness level was ok and the honeydew used was sweet. However one issue is that the ice was pretty coarse. This meant a rough mouthfeel and the dessert did not exactly melt in the mouth like it should.
