It's been awhile since I last ate at Eighteen Chefs. A little background of Eighteen Chefs, owner Benny Se Teo, used to be a drug addict who turned over a new leaf. He has come a long way from his drug addiction and now runs several eighteen chef outlets sprawled all across the island. Eighteen chefs is known for their passion to help troubled youth and as such, their staff and crew are mostly very vibrant youths.Here's what we ordered,Eighteen chefs is known for customizable pasta and rice, and here is my favourite, cheese baked rice with japanese curry sauce and mushrooms. The japanese curry sauce is just right, and it isn't too sweet. The cheese is baked perfect, with a slight crisp on the top layer. There is a mountain of mushrooms underneath as well! Mushroom pasta, it was very creamy and we loved it!Typical iced lemon tea with syrup at the bottom, so stir properly!At the end of the meal, we each had a scoop of cookies n cream ice cream.Despite the long queue which we had to brave at 1:15pm on a friday afternoon, it was a worthwhile wait and trip. Everyone was satisfied with their meals.
