I am here ALMOST EVERYDAY cus i work nearby. Their pastas and pizzas taste great for the PAST 4months that I can remember.. Everything is great including sauces, pasta, pizza, soup, etc.HOWEVER, lately about 1 week ago i realised a dramatic change. I think probably a change in chef? To have an affordable and convenient meal, I came to food court. My impression towards Food Republic was good, hygiene and comfortable environment provided, always. I opted to Italian-Western Pasta stall, extensive choices in their Menu, quite surprisingly. No queue upon my arrival, thus the waiting time was short. mushroom soup with garlic bread $2.50the garlic bread was served warm and the edges were rather crisp. i wish that the spread of garlic was thicker though. The mushroom soup on the other hand was a disappointment. It was less than warm and it tasted rather instant. the portion was quite miserable too and I don't think it's worth getting even though it's quite affordable.

I ordered a plate of Prawn Aglio Olio for $7.50. Price is a quite steep for the quality. The prawns were chopped into small pieces but there were not many and they were not fresh too. The aglio olio was cooked well but it was quite oily. The taste was too peppery (too much pepper placed in it). The taste seemed to have a little "wok" flavour as well. Garlic bread was served warm so it was quite yummy.

I was here at 11am so there weren't too many people. mainly tourists and people who work around the area probably. We ordered the Fish And Chips. The staff was friendly, but the fish and chips took 20 minutes understandably I assume to start the heat on the deep fryer. It was worth the wait!
