The FoodLocated at Jalan Kayu, I noticed this stall selling wanton mee while I was walking past after having my roti prata hence I went in and ordered the wanton mee dry served with a clear sauce and fantastic char siew. The noodles were springy and had very distinct taste compared to the usual wanton mee. The char siew was very tasty and tender and the wantons were soft and juicy with generous portion of minced meat inside. I also noticed that chilli sauce tastes very different from the usual sauce in that it is spicy and savory with a tinge of pepper. It is located in one of those shop houses along Jalan Kayu. Parking can be an issue if you drive there. It is supposed to be the Malaysia style of wanton noodle, the noodle is slightly different from the usual, it's thinner and the texture is not quite the same but rather springy with thinly sliced char siew. The chilli is unique in its own way, a little spicy but rather nice. Their prices are fairly affordable. No matter, their fried and soup dumplings were pretty good. I always order an extra bowl of fried dumplings to go along with my noodle. If you happen to be at Jalan Kayu for prata, you might want to check them out.
