Dragged my girlfriend to Hot Tomato for Express Food...last evening. From the menu hanging outside, we thought the price is reasonable, so we went there to try out the place because we were really attracted by the menu and prices. The place is almost 100% full. Service was fast, cordial and generally quite prompt. Lunched at Hot Tomato Express and tried their aglio aglio. Not bad! Very tasty and the spaghetti was very well cooked. Not too soft like some which I have tried. Their prawns are very fresh too! Located at basement 1 of Plaza Singapura, we are attracted to go in because of it's bigger seating capacity as compared to the rest of the food joint stall that only allowed 2 - 3 people to sit down and eat. Tomato can be found everywhere in the photos of the dishes inside the menu and even the ceiling is a big, giant tomato. However, when the dish was served, we don't see any tomato inside. The Tiramisu sliced cakes at Hot Tomato Express taste alright. At only $4.80 nett, it is consider to be priced reasonably. However the service here still need to have further improvement. The sponge is soft but a bit too sweet. The coffee and chocolate taste for this cake taste alright, infact not too bad. Great to order a cup of the fresh brewed coffee or tea to go along with this tiramisu cakes. My verdict: 6.5/10

I absolutely love Hot Tomato! Finally had a chance to go and satisfy my two-week long craving for their tasty and spice filled aglio olio!! Their aglio olio is filled with rich spices that taste really really good! However on the downside, yesterday's aglio olio had a little too much oil.Hot Tomato is unique in its own way, with their combination of steak with aglio olio. This is a really value for money with good western food restaurant.For the beef and giant prawn, it was under SGD20. They have set lunches and the tomato soup is creamy & zesty good.Tiramisu dessert was good too!Really worth itThe only gripe is they should have a bigger seating space...

Normal fare of food for the price paid. It was quite crowded on a weekend so we have to queue for our turn. Portion of the food was quite little...not filling at all...
