If you are a dining alone a don will be a good option. However if you have a dining partner with you, there is one combination value meal set that offers this salmon don together with a unagi don at a very worthwhile price!

Do check it out!

The outlet at ARC is really popular at lunch, so do pop over before 12pm if not you have to be prepared for a long wait as the lunch crowd picks up there! Service staff seems to be a little short so it can be a little slow, do dine in here only if you have a full 1 hr lunch break

ARC mall itself is very empty, nothing much there, just some enrichment schools for children.
Ichiban Sushi located on the 2nd floor in the corner, when we arrived there, it was quite crowded, surprisingly, because we thought it would be empty since the mall itself is a bit secluded.
We came because we wanted to get our last stamp as we're a fan of Ichiban Boshi, same group as Ichiban Sushi, in fact the menu and all are the same.
I ordered Chicken Katsu curry rice, Teriyaki chicken rice and some sushis.
The chicken katsu curry was so so.. the curry sauce was not enough for me, so I asked for more sauce, it took quite sometime for them to give the sauce back to me, because they are so busy, so many customers, so little waitresses, only 5 of them, I think. Many hands were raised asking for assistance, but they were lack of manpower.
But anyway they did gave me a bowl of curry sauce
Love it, my rice would be bland without the curry sauce.
The sushi was not bad, I supposed, my hubby didn't give any comments.
So overall experience is not bad, the service is quite good, because they gave me the extra curry sauce (some resto will not charge for extra curry sauce).

Wanted something spicy for lunch but followed the lunch group's majority preference to eat at the newly opened Ichiban at ARC. The tori curry wazen comes with a tempura appetizer, big bowl of rice, miso soup & fruit of the day for $16.90++. The tori curry wazen comes with a tempura appetizer, big bowl of rice, miso soup & fruit of the day for $16.90++. Pay $1.10++ per head for free flow of hot or iced green tea.

The wazen arrived in a big black tray looking promising, but just like books one can't judge the food by the picture in the menu or its appearance. The curry was served on a shallow cast iron plate sitting above a portable stove like those we used when we went on school camps. This proved to be more style than substance. Instead of chicken cooked in curry, Ichiban served deepfried chunks of chicken karage that had been cooked ahead of time than dunked into the curry gravy prior to serving so the curry flavour did not infiltrate into the meat. The curry gravy was not made in house but prepared from factory produced curry paste so you get thirsty from the strong MSG aftertaste. The tori curry wazen did not come with the usual cup of chawanmushi that I like ~ probably because you are expected to drench your rice with the curry gravy instead of steamed egg custard. Miso soup was also watered down.My disappointing bento had two saving graces - it was served by a friendly & courteous table crew and the tempura appetizer which was well done.
