Nasi Goreng Kampung is traditionally flavoured fried rice with pounded fried anchovies (ikan bilis).Basmati rice (Long grain rice) is used for this special dish. Other ingredients added to the dish includes sliced big onion, chilli padi, fresh pounded chillies, pounded dried shrimps, thinly sliced carrots, handful of water spinach and shredded cabbage.From the taste of the rice, belacan (shrimp paste) and fish sauce are also included.The rice is a bit salty but fragrant.Slices of cucumber topped with tomato sauce (ketchup) was added to the dish.Priced at $4.00 for this take-away.
