I love ang ku kuehs and would always buy the durian, peanut and yam flavour from a stall at the tampines round market, which gets their supply from the famous 146 bukit merah ang ku kueh shop. As I was around the vicinity, I decided to head down to the actual confectionery to get the green tea ang ku kueh! It is so yummy and I finally satisfied my long time curiosity for it! How I wish they deliver this flavour!

I also saw them selling the colourful ang ku kuehs which is so cute and attractive and tempted me to get the mini version to try! I found a new flavour which I like among them, which is the salted bean (grey colour).

This morning, after praying at the Thai temple on 50B Jalan Bukit Merah, I chanced upon this ang gu kueh stall nestled between a backpacker hostel and another shop. As I passed by the shop, I was hit by the strong aroma of freshly made kueh. Almost instantly, my mouth started to water and there was simply no way I could resist buying a few of the brightly-coloured kueh to nom. Peanut Ang Gu Kueh:
The peanut ang ku gueh was delicious . The skin was chewy but where this kueh really shined was in its filling. The peanut filling had a sandy texture and was extremely peanuty. In short, it was a yummy filling, one that made me regret my decision to buy one one.

Green Tea Ang Gu Kueh:
This ang gu kueh really surprised me! The skin (like it's peanut cousin) was nice and chewy, but again, it was the filling that was magical. The green tea filling was surprisingly... green-tea-ish. The taste of the green tea was robust (not the weak variety one usually gets) and you can really smell the green tea! It was sooooo yummy! (Friendly advice: Buy more than 2. You'll thank me later XD )

Surroundings/ Ambiance:
Quiet neighbourhood. There is a pavilion not far from the shop where you can eat in silence while enjoying the greenery. Note: There are no seats in this shop- you can only ta pao.

I only managed to eat one of this yam kueh and the remaining went into my mum's stomach,hehes.. My mum likes anything yam.Unlike the usual ang ku kueh, which has peanut fillings, this is a purple coloured kueh with sweet yam fillings inside (like obviously right ).The thickness of the kueh is just nice. Not bad.I don't like kueh that is too thick as it seems like I am biting on a rubber, nor too thin as it will lose it chewiness, thus this yam kueh suits my taste bud.The fillings inside is not to

The fillings inside is not too sweet and amount if just right too.
