We were here during tea time on a weekend. There was no queue and we were promptly seated. As we hadn't had lunch, we ordered two mains and a cake to share. I'd been wanting to try their burgers because it looked amazing when I saw it on someone's table the previous time I was here. NYDC at Wheelock Place was located at level 2. The queue over at NYDC was still fine (Maybe still early) so we do not need to wait for long to be allocated a table for 4 pax. The staff were friendly even though they were quite busy during the evening dinner rush hours and the place are quite spacious with enough walking space for the staff to serve the dishes to customer.I loves the minty lime flavor as it was just nice in between of sour and sweetness. The blackcurrent Soda was ok only for me.

I was catching up with a friend in town and we have decided to go NYDC at wheelock as the place is rather quiet during the afternoon. On top of that, food at this outlet is relatively alright.We ordered 2 tea set ($7.90 each) which consist of a choice of a cake and a hot coffee. We were shopping at Wheelock place and decided to have our dinner at NYDC as they are having a one for one promotion for OCBC credit cards.I do like the interior of the restaurant is designed, looking like a New York subway station with graphic art paintings on the wall. The place is not very crowded even though it was a friday evening. I walked past NYDC and their new selection of cakes caught my eye, and I decided to get 3 slices of cakes home. I got the Ode to My Cheesecake ($6.80) - chocolate mousse and cheesecake with an oreo base: this was pretty alright, although I preferred the other cheesecake they have with a smooth velvety layer of chocolate on top. I also had the 24 Carrot Gold ($6.80) - your typical carrot cake, nothing unique. Lastly, I had grasp rasp, some raspberry cake, which was a little too sweet.

As both me and my friend had a late tea break thus we were here only for another "tea" session. Love the fact that there wasn't any q. The cake is a small one. It is individual serving. Not to look down on its size, it is rich in quality of the cake. The cake is rich with smooth textur cheese. As the cheese reaches the tongue, it slowly melt and its smooth texture flows to the tongue. Diner will enjoy the rich white chocolate. The biscuit crust is thin. There is little raspberry. In fact, I did not find any fresh raspberry. With the thick cheese texture, diner will be satisfied.

I walked past NYDC at wheelock place and saw that they were having this promotion of $2 per sliced cake for 2 days, which was a very good deal, so I decided to sit in and try some of their cakes. I had the Choco cake which was a chocolate mousse with a thick cookie base; didn't really like this one as it's very sweet and jelat, and the cookie base was too hard. The FoodI ordered the Mudpie Extravaganza which is a combination of "A combination of Cookie Monster", "Jedi Mudster" and "Grandma Goes Nuts. Seriously!" as I want to try out all the different flavours at one time. Initially when the mudpie was served to my table, I was struggling with my spoon to taste the cake as it was quite hard as is been taken out from the fridge. The ice cream texture is creamy and rich and not so sweet hence just nice for my taste buds. The PriceA bit over-priced at $11.

nydc is a pretty cool dining concept. They are famous for their extravagant mudpies and cakes, while offering a large variety of reasonably prices mains and appetizers as well for a complete meal. I had the strawberry mud pie which was pretty cool, with a slice of strawberry on top a thick slab of ice cream and drizzles of strawberry sauce over the whole thing to add extra flavour.

Another one of my teenage haunts for their baked pastas which I found decent and affordable, but now that i'm older I find their baked pastas a tad dry. I now come here for the cakes and desserts. Nothing beats a good cheesecake and my favourite is the Goldmine cheesecake. It has bits of chocolate at the bottom of the cheesecake, an oreo biscuit base and a chocolate layer on the top! Very yummy!

This is the Chocolate Egg Cream Elephancino. Basically it has chocolate, milk and soda so it tastes like a chocolate milk soda. I feel that the chocolate flavour needs to be stronger as the milk overpowers the rest of the taste. But the downside to this drink is that you should finish it fairly quickly because once all the gas from the soda settles, the taste somehow changes and it's not as nice anymore. This is the Goldmine Cheesecake and it's okay. The chocolate top layer adds a nice lick-able

Sometimes when I feel like having other desserts than my usual favourite piece of chocolate cake, I will normally goes for mud pie from nydc. The texture of this dessert is very smooth and firm, which inclusive of my favourite white and milk chocolate in it. The thick dark chocolate fudge that has been topped on it certainly is delicious and really has beautify this lovely dessert.
