In Singapore, there is no lack of restaurants and bars. However, I am glad that I found this F&B outlet at the newly revamped Suntec City Tower 1. Located on the left side of the taxi stand, what used to be an empty space is where OSG Bar+ stands today. It is a collaboration with STUFF magazine and is the one and only STUFF gadget restaurant and bar in the world. How cool is that? Currently, it is at its infancy stage and I heard the official opening will only be somewhere in early June. But the good news is, there is a 35% discount off the food menu now for its "beta testing stage". I went on a Wednesday evening with a group of friends. Inside the restaurant, you can see technology related deco such as the circuit tracks on the floor that resemble a computer motherboard.Besides the circuit tracks, there are also displays of gadgets from watches to camera to earpieces. I guess you can expect to see more state of art gadgets and tech events going on when the place officially opens. Can't wait!Besides providing free wifi, printing services, you will also be thrilled to find power points readily available for your usage. I also like the idea of hooks provided to hang our bags at the tables and counters. Love their eye for details! The order for food and drinks are made on the Lenovo Yoga 3 tablet. You can call for bill and service on the tablet. It will automatically link to android watches which the staff are wearing. The watch will vibrate to alert the service crew so you will be attended promptly. Nice!It is good to know that there are 3 choices of beer (Asahi, Carlsberg and Kronenbourg Blanc) on the tap. Besides beer, there are also a variety of wine, liquor and champagne. What a heaven for a light drink after work! Hehe =)Under the "tapas" section, we ordered the escargots which are served in choice of 6 or a dozen. The escargots are served without shells and I was happy to not fuss over digging the flesh out of the shell. They were presented on top of a bed of sauteed spinach and I love the infusion of butter, herbs and garlic to the escargots. The 150g of Tenderloin ($15.50) is glazed with teriyaki sauce and sprinkled with black sesame. A touch of oriental on the tender moist beef slices. The Kurobuta Pork is tender with a tinge of sweetness. It is quite addictive and goes well with a pint of beer. I like the fact that it is sliced to bite size.We also ordered 1 bottle of champagne from Domaines Barons de Rothschild. The champagne was specially curated by the boss himself and OSG Bar+ is one of the first to carry this champagne in Singapore. I was never a champagne person as I always find most champagnes too acidic and over the top bubbly for my liking. It was a pleasant surprise to find this champagne not too acidic and have a lingering sweetness. Thus, we end up ordering another bottle after that.I returned last Friday afternoon for lunch to have the Spaghetti Aglio Olio ($17.90) after trying it on Wed night. If you like something spicy, this is something that you may like. Served with de-shelled prawns, it is quite a hearty dish to have.Overall, OSG Bar+ has quite an interesting concept. Besides being a gadget bar, it also serves decent food, delicious champagne and fresh beer. On top of that, I like the fact that there are ample of power points and printing service so it can serve as an alternative working space. Do check out this place if you are around the vicinity.OSG Bar+3 Temasek Boulavard #01-510/511 Suntec City Mall, Tower 1, Singapore 038983Tel: (65) 9855 2826Email: zach@osgbar.comOperating Hours: TBC
