 Truffled Mac and Cheese ($13.20++): PARK is known for this dish and I now understand why. It was really cheesy and creamy (almost like a soup) and the portion was just nice. I couldn't taste much truffle though.

I ordered their Eggs Benedict which came with 5 sides: sauteed mushroom, bacon, potatoes, cherry tomatoes and salad veg. Nothing could possibly go wrong with poached eggs, but the parma ham below was so thin I could barely taste anything (just look at the picture above). Might as well don't add? The bread was super thin as well, I think Mcmuffin tastes better. The sweet pea, though added a crunch to the dish, I find the taste a little overpowering. Hollandaise sauce was good, not too sour.  Cho opted for Baked Eggs (I'm not sure what's the full name for the dish) that came with the same sides. It was average, 'cept that it tastes a little like canned tomato.

I find the food really over-rated & I would be back probably to takeaway the spam chips only.

My friend and I decided to have lunch at this place after school! It is actually a cafe during the day and a bar at night. The seating area is pretty limited, with both indoor and outdoor, and we chose to sat inside as the weather was quite hot. We can't resist when we saw truffle fries on the menu and ordered one to share. We could actually smell the aroma of truffle oil when the fries came!  My friend had the Caramelized Banana Crepe, which came with a side serving of vanilla ice-cream topped with mini marshmallows! Anyone with a sweet tooth will definitely love this! Overall, I like the concept and ambience of this cafe but I that the food is pretty expensive given it's average quality.

Located right infront of the exit of the station, beside hatched and provence, this rather new cafe has finally caught my interest to pay a visit mainly because of their all day breakfast menu and truffles fries (which I've been a little insane over these days).Rise & Shine ($12) for myself and I really love the creamy scrambled eggs but the rest were just mediocre.I couldn't really remember the name but it's some kind of minced lamb sandwich?  I couldn't really remember the name but it's some kind of minced lamb sandwich? You get to choose two sides along with the main courses and wewent for fries ($16.50, including a top up of $3 for the truffle ones).

 Not the best truffle fries, but mozzarella flakes managed to satisfy my craving that day!

Checked out this new chill out joint and holland village. It's an interesting structure like a pop up store in the midst of grass patch. Their beer prices are pretty reasonable. I had some Japanese Orion beer which was light and smooth. Ordered a Lemon Meringue Cake to pair with it. The sponge cake was soft and buttery. The cream topping had lemon and sugary taste. All put together, they went well. Not a heavy dessert but still pretty satisfying!

When I first heard of PARK @ Holland Village, I was eager to try it out, what with it being set in a Park (considerably, in the congested Holland Village), and serving breakfast items (only until 6pm daily, it is not a all-day breakfast place). It was also perfect that it’s right at the doorstep of Holland Village MRT. It also fitted the bill because we were looking at having dessert at MU Parlour.  You have the option of dining in an air-conditioned ‘park’ or the conventional alfresco ‘park’, but with strong fans in replacement of the lack of cooling air (at times). The inside has only about 30 odd seats; not many, and it’s parked in a narrow aisle of 4-seaters, at most accommodating 5. Menu is relatively small, a couple of breakfast items, couple of sandwiches, and couple of other mains.

 Truffle Fries ($8.50++): If you already know, I’m one who’d never give up on ordering a Truffle Fries to start the meal off whenever a menu permits. This time round is no difference. However, it fell slightly short. It was better off with more truffle. I don’t paying more for it, but when a dish is done, it should never be shortchanged and should be executed to its best. If they need to jack the price up a little more for more truffle taste, they should do it.

 Truffle Mac & Cheese ($11.80++): I could still taste some truffle in the Truffle Fries, but could barely taste it in this course, though the smell of it was overwhelming. I’m guessing a lot of it got stuck to the sides of the pot, and evaporated or something, because it was really near non-existent. It also got too cloying halfway through. I couldn’t even finish it. I should have known when the price is too affordable to be truffle.

 Avocado & Bacon Tartine ($11.80++): Because the previous dishes weren’t the best, the Tartine had to be made the saving grace. I don’t usually agree with sandwiches, or tartines for this instance, but it tasted ordinary and was the best of the night. For one, I love that the bacon wasn’t overly grilled and remained soft and flimsy, very rarely seen in Singapore. Though it tasted alright, I do not think it’s worth the money. Plus, it’s for sure, not filling.

Service was above average. At the least.
It is a good place to chill at night. They do serve alcoholic drinks. I’m hoping that they make some changes to the menu and cooking, and that this booboo is only because they are new kids on the block. I can see a chance for redemption. I’ll probably drop by some time in the future, maybe to try their Breakfast items.

PARK Wings for $8.50 which are well-fried, but rating wise is a little above average. Eggs Benedict for $13.80 with runny egg yolk, and crispy bacon. Beef Hayashi for $13.50 where beef is soft, and sauce is thick and sweet! Finally, Lemon Meringue Cake for $9.90 to end this yummylicious meal <3

 In the day, PARK is usually quiet with few occupants but the scene changes quickly at night as the beer specials and extensive list of alcoholic beverages at extremely competitive prices draw a young and edgy crowd.

Food menu is about a page long, with a decent selection of Salads, Starters, Sandwiches, Mains & Pastas and Cakes. The Starters selection includes Nachos with Cheese, SPAM Chips, PARK Wings and Parmesan Truffled Fries at $8.50 each. We tried the latter which was served with three dips and a good sprinkle of shredded Parmesan.

All-Day-Breakfast items such as Eggs Benedict $13.80, Toast Soldiers $6 and Eggs in a Pocket $12.80 are also on the menu. Our server highly recommended us the Eggs Ben so we took her suggestion and my was our plate pretty when it arrived at our table. I could not fault the plating and elements of the dish because it was substantial. Rosti patties, bacon, cherry tomatoes and even stalks of greens sitting in between the ham, toast and beautifully poached eggs. Almost perfect if it werent for the Hollandaise sauce which was bland and lacked character. I was a little disappointed.

 But while the items we tried, beverages of tea and mocha included, needed a little tweaking, I say that the overall concept of a cafe in the garden has me sold. And I will definitely be back to try their mains, some of which include the Truffled Mac & Cheese $11.80, Beef Hayashi $13.50 and Sage, Anchovy & Tiger Prawn Risotto $12.80 have me intrigued. Alternatively, have a slice of Lemon Meringue Cake or Old Fashioned Chocolate Layer Cake, each $9.90 if you drop by in the afternoons.

Either way, I believe this place has potential.
