Suddenly have the craving to have pratas for dinner and decided to check out the pratas from this famous prata outlet. Restaurant was quite crowded and business was really good! I have ordered their all time signature plain pratas, which took around fifteen minutes before my food is ready. THe pratas were quite crispy and chewy, they are also not too oily as well. The curry was really thick and fragrant, was quite surprise it was not too spicy as well. At $1.30 per piece, quite affordable.

As its name tells, Prata Wala specializes in serving Prata and Indian dishes such as Thosai, Murtabak and Uttapam. Sometimes I wondered how to flip the dough just like the expert Prata Man, a skill that not everybody can do it. It was not my first time visiting Prata Wala, yet it was my first time to eat Uttapam (costed $3.20). A thick pancake which was a crepe-like pizza with ingredients wrapped inside. Even though the curry was a bit oily but overall I still like the taste as is thick and aromatic. Prata Wala Cafe is a welcome addition to Junction 8 Shopping Mall's basement food hall that is directly linked to Bishan MRT.
