This stall is my Muslim colleagues favourite, being their lunch kakis for almost a year, I realized that they never fail to patronize this stall every time we go there despite there are so many other halal choices. Beef Kway Tiao Thai Style for my lunch today. Costs: S$4.00. Served in a shiny metal bowl with a brown basket underneath to insulate the heat and it also enable us to take the food easily without scalding our hands.
Beef kway Tiao's first look with chilli flakes on top of the gravy. I was expecting clear soup with beef and kway tiao. However it was served like the chinese style "Hor Fun". Kway tiao was white in color though.
As I stir up the ingredients of the dish, few slices of beef and kang kong(water spinach) were included
Beef is tender. Overall, I dislike the spiciness throughout my meal as it is overpowering the taste. If I happen to order this again, I will request for "No-Chilli" flakes version.
The waiting time for the food is a killer. By the time I received my food, all my colleagues who had ordered other dishes had already finished 3/4 of their food.
