For a simple and light dinner, porridge and raw fish are fitting the bill. This stall is operating by an old couple. There are 3 types of porridges and raw fish only, century egg and meat ball, peanut and sotong, fish slice or plain porridge.I like their raw fish though it is considered a little pricey. Prices are $3, $6, etc. Could it be 西刀魚 is more costly than the traditional 鯇魚? Anyway, I have eaten both and liked the texture of西刀魚more as it doesn’t have any bits of bone, whereas鯇魚片no matter how good is the chief skill in slicing it, there are bits of bone left. Though it is acceptable, if we have a choice, we would have a better one. This西刀魚tastes very light, no fishy discerns, texture is really springy, owner has put the right sauces mixed, it enhance the overall palates.I have my usual peanut and sotong porridge last night. Porridge is full of flavour but it doesn’t taste like msg, it is smooth to your throat. I am quite sensitive to msg, once I consume it, my tongue and throat are not feeling well, dry and very thirsty. The owner reduces $0.5 for my porridge because peanut has sold out, it left sotong only. The stall closes at around 7+pm. 繼續閱讀
