Whenever I eat ban mian, I normally have it with pork. This time, I decided to try it out with chicken and it was as good as the one with pork. As I was rushing for time, I had it taken away (separately packed soup and noodles). The ban mian was smooth yet firm in texture. The ingredients were simple; sliced chicken nicely seasoned, plenty of cai xin, ikan bilis and an egg. It went well with the soup, which was hearty, not too salty, albeit on the sweet side. This dish was also accompanied with fried shallots, chilli sauce and red cut chillies.Starting from $3, there is a wide variety of noodles/vermicelli you can choose to have. You can either have it soup base or dry. Besides ban mian, this stall also sells hong zhao chicken, dumpling and fried dumpling (will try it one of these days)....
