I came here to try out the zi char with my girlfriend, we ordered their hor fun, fried rice and cereal prawn. The hor fun we ordered a bigger portion. It was really good, the gravy was very thick and tasty. the kway teow was really smooth and slippery, had to eat it with a spoon. The gravy had those egg strips making it taste even more tasty. the fried rice was very fragrant, it was well seasoned and the rice was not clumpy guess they used overnight rice to cook it. the hor fun here is really good. soupy, traditional horfun in a box with the green chillie son the side. the serving is generous and the taste is great. sometimes you get lots of seafood, but some times you don't depends on the cook's mood i think? but otherwise the noodles are good - not too broken so you can pick it up without splashing the gravy everywhere. the vegetables are not that fresh as sometimes there are worm holes in the vegetables. at least we didn't find any worms! recommended.

the hor fun here is consistently good. reasonably priced. however, sometimes you will get lard bits and sometimes you will not. the lard bits taste great but can be very sickening by the end of the box because they do give you a lot of the lard bits. love the generous vegetables and seafood, but the vegetables tend to have holes in the leaves and the prawns look oddly pale even after being cooked... the noodles are not as broken asother places, so it's easy to pick up the noodles. recommended.

The food here is pretty good. This is beef with bittergourd and rice. There are fresh vegetables and generous amounts of beef. It tasted fresh and the vegetables are still crunchy. The rice was perfectly cooked. The service is fast and efficient. It's not too expensive either. They have a lot of different dishes at this place. They even have deer meat, which we can't really tell if it's deer or just beef! This dish is very peppery even though it's just beef and bittergourd.

This is the freshest leafy greens soup with egg we've had in Singapore! It's full of mushrooms, sliced tender pork, greens, some ginger, etc. The leaves are all fresh and green and healthy looking. The pork is sliced pork which is very tender and has no pork smell. There are fish cakes in there too. This is another one of those heartland secret places. We were surprised that the standard of food was really good! They are only open at night and most of their prices are quite reasonable. We tried their hor fun and LOVED it. We also tried their char kway teow which is really a dry fried hor fun, and it was fabulous! Whether takeaway or eating in, their standards are the same.
