Decided to try out their chicken cutlet rice which looked good but I prefer the white chicken rice better. The chicken cutlet was a little dry and tasted rather ordinary. This was an average tasting chicken rice, nothing really stands out.There are two types of chicken meat, boiled or roasted, I chose the roasted one as the skin seems thinner. The chicken meat were not dry but also not tender enough. The egg was quite nice though, can taste the fragrance of braising. Can get really busy during lunch time...always a queue! If you eat at the coffee shop rather than take-away, the 'chicken rice set for one' comes with a bowl of soup & beansprouts under your chicken. Before dropping my girlfriend off at her tuition kid’s place, we had lunch at the nearby coffee shop. We ordered the chicken rice there as the fragrance of the rice lured us to the stall. The chicken rice was rather reasonably priced. The chicken is very smooth and tender. The skin was not too oily too. The rice is as nice as how it smell. It was not clumpy at all, not too oily as well. and the rice were cooked perfectly not too hard. The chicken gravy is very tasty, a little too salty to be eaten alone so have to eat with the rice. the chilli is really good, sourish and spicy. This stall has been here since my primary school. You can imagine how long they were there. The chicken is very nice; however they open quite early and close early too. By the time I reach home at around 7:30pm, they have closed. Of course, they are cheaper last time, at only $3/per rice. I never order in group, they bill will add up to $19++ for 4 people, I always go for individual set. Their fried tofu is nice, however today no more stocks. The stall is always at queue at the noon time, unless I have them for breakfast which is too full for me. Nevertheless, I have this as breakfast, as I missed their rice a lot.
