The Starbuck has launched its Chinese New Year cookies and I decided to sample their cookies. There are 3 types of cookies, namely Kumquat cookie, sesame pineapple cookie and pumpkin seed and kumquat cookie. Each cookie comes in different colour packaging, red, orange and burgundy red. Each box comes with 10 cookies. The slightly expensive cookie is the sesame pineapple cookie costs at $16.80 while the other 2 cookies cost $15.80. On average basis, each cookie costs $1.60. After hanging around with friends, decided to grab some snack before going home. I ordered Espresso Frap and Tri Sandwich. The espresso frap was good. The coffee was really strong in flavor. It was not overly sweet or bitter. The cream on top was really fresh and nice, not greasy at all. The sandwich was not bad too. The bread was soft in texture. The ingredient was fresh. I can even tasted the cheese, a perfect combination. Overall, the food was good.

Luxuriating in a cup of coffee/ tea that costs as much as $6 per cup is something that is quite out of my league. However, after a long day on Fri, I decided against a heavy dinner and simply repose at this quiet Starbucks joint in Orchard Point.Tucked away in a charming quiescent hideaway, the seating area is on an elevated platform accessible with a flight of stairs. i went to starbucks to buy my favourite drink, their green tea latte. As it was a hot afternoon, I opted for iced blended with whipped cream. It was really good. the green tea flavor was not too strong, it did not overpower the latte taste. the drink was very smooth despite being iced blended. The whipped cream goes really well with the drink, gives it an extra creamier taste. very refreshing on a hot afternoon.

Contrary to popular belief that this place is only for coffee and the snacks, I actually had a very filling meal here. The sandwiches were big and filling with goodness to the brim. Of course, the guage for a good sandwich is the moist level content, which this one passes without much difficulty. The coffee was good too, freshly brewed. Enjoyed the quiches, esp the veg and cheese one, which was good.
