No doubt Taste of Morocco is only one of the stalls located in Ayer Rajah food Centre that sells Halal Food, they are the unique stall with a prominent kebab Machine placed in front the stall with the a gigantic meat roll spinning silently. In fact, we had actually wanted to buy our lunch here few weeks back after the Hari Raya Holiday but they were not opened until today when we were there again this afternoon. Having my first visit to this stall, I would say that their variety of selections available is not too many but decent enough for a simple meal. I had learn to have kebab as one of the proper meals during my recent visits to Brussels (Belgium) & Germany especially when these food were easily "grabbed" in the streets. After looking at my plate, one would have asked if I'm having some Roti John? Nope, it's actually the Chicken Panini that I had ordered. To jog back my memories, the impression of Panini does not look like this. Anyway, my bread was toasted to a crispy perfertion with the juiciest shreds of chicken meat filled in between. Though I'm well equipped with the correct tools to cut them, quite an amount of efforts were required. One could also see the "scars"(lines marks) left on the plate from the previous customers. Be careful during dining, the toasted bread has some sharp edges.Flipped open the bread and you will see these kebabs are well mixed with the spicy chilli sauce. For more taste, one can also grab by the bottles of sauces (chilli, tomato, mayonnaise) over the counter. Kebab, in our Chinese way of describing "Popiah" on the other hand looked neater in presentation. Chicken meats were securely encased in between the wraps. The stark difference between these 2 dishes besides the exterior layer is only the inclusion of lettuce. On an added advantage, this chicken kebab is conveniently prepared for people who likes to eat on the go. Look at the wraps, it requires no fork or knife. You can just bite on them!Cost: S$4.00 each
