Just had this sweet and sour chicken rice from this ThaiExpress outlet at Bukit Panjang. Spent about $10 for this main course which is quite expensive. Portion was not really that generous and they used simple plain rice instead of flavoured rice for this course which is too uncreative. The chicken meat was fresh and juicy but the marination used to it was abit too salty and quite thirsty after eating. It is totally not filling after eating it as well. Restaurant is quite cooling and spacious and service was quite nice and polite too.

We dropped by Thai Express for a casual dinner after work as the husband was craving for Thai Beef Noodles. Unlike Siam Kitchen's clear broth version, Thai Express' rendition of this popular Thai street food is more cloudy and tended towards the savoury end of the spectrum. Both were unique in their own ways though I somehow preferred Siam Kitchen's version. The soup broth was rich and flavoursome, with a strong hint of beefy fragrance. The beef slices were chewy and tasty too. We ordered their stuffed chicken wings as a side dish and that was really delicious! Their specially marinated chicken paste was embedded underneath the crispy golden brown skin and each bite burst into the juicy and mouth-watering stuffing was simply heavenly. This is definitely a must order as it's really addictive!

From Siam Kitchen to ThaiExpress, Singapore is no stranger to Thai food. I, of course, want to try every thai food establishment there is in this tiny islandPoo Phat Pong Kari (Ric with Soft Shell Crab, Egg, and Onion Curry) - $12.90 (Description on the menu says that this dish was created by a thai and japanese chef for their wedding dinner!)How romantic is that! Creating your own food at your wedding! I love the combination of these 2 cuisine as both of them are contending for my most favourite cuisine. The amalgamation of these 2 cuisine together is an angel's gift for mankind. The soft scream crab was soft and the sauce that was poured along it made it either softer and more flavourful. Did i mention that i ove this combination! The Jasmine Rice was also very fragrant. I often wonder what type of rice they use to cook such a nice-smelling rice. Eating the soft shell crab together with the rice was a very good experience!

Late lunch with ex-colleague. In the mood for steamboat, so I ordered the steamboat set $16.90The set comes prawn, squid, fish, chicken, tang hoon, kangkong, egg. it's supposed to be for 1 but if you're a small eater, it's good for 2. Tom Yum soup base is good, but the flame is a little too string it can be quit dangerous if there're kids dining togetherSee? The flame is so strong is still burning at the end of my meal!Also ordered the Seafood Otah $8.30, which has generous serving of prawns & squid.

Dinner at Thai Express with a friend, i ordered the Tom Yum Talay which is the Tom Yum Seafood soup. They have quite a number of versions of their Tom Yum Soup like Tom Yum Pla(Fish), Tom Yum Kung (Prawn) and Tom Yum Kang Nam Deang (Red Crayfish Soup). On top of my soup, i ordered a main course, which was Khao Neua Phat Krapow, which is the Basil Minced Beef with rice. The tom yum soup is the clear type, even though without the chilli oil, it still taste pretty spicy. there were quite a lot of seafood in the soup like fish, sotong and prawns. The basil beef was kind of spicy too, but eat with rice then it was ok. it was indeed a spicy dinner.
