Today I was having lunch with some old friends here.The soup is flavourful. The apple is cooked till very soft. The only letdown is the chicken which is quite bony. I seemed to be picking bones.Soy Milk (Cold) ($1.80++)It tastes not thick and not too sweet. Although I have ordered cold version, but there is no ice cubes. I am surprise that it is served in a plastic cup. Kind of feel like a food court takeaway.Please noted that water is chargeable at $0.30++ a glass here.

The first time that I had eaten The Asian Kitchen was at the outlet at Ion Orchard -Lu Gang Xiao Zhen by The Asian Kitchen a 2 years ago, and I was quite disappointed. The serving was small and not as fantastic as expected given the price hence I was hesitant when my peers suggested to head over to this outlet. This time round, I was wrong. Perhaps its the different dishes which I ordered but they were really delicious! The noodles was chewy and the meat was tender, and even though it may look fatty, it is not oily and it just melts in your mouth I am really impressed. We ordered side dishes too and they were nowhere disappointing too. I will definitely come back another time to try the other dishes! YUM

We decided to try one of those eating place which we had not tried at Citylink and decided to pick this place. It was not crowded on a Sat lunch, as we could get a seat easily.We decided to order their signature Roast Pork which has a very crispy skin and moist meat. It comes with a saucer of salt and plum powder to dipped the pieces of belly pork. The spinach was fried till the right texture which is also not too oilly. We also ordered Taiwan mince pork rice which is braised mince pork, hard boiled egg on top of the rice. This was ok, but not fantastic.The Chilli Crab La Miam came with 2 crispy fried soft shell crab with a not too spicy chilli crab sauce over the noodle. If you crave for chilli crab sauce, you can try this dish.My favourite dish that day was the Prawn wrapped with Bacon and lightly coated with batter and fried. The seafood and Meat combination was perfect, as the salty bacon bring out the sweetness of the prawn.To end the meal, we ordered their cold Cheng Tng which has lots of different ingredients like sweet potatoe, barley, dried longon. The taste was ok but not the best I have eaten.

Fried rice with fried pork cutletThe fried rice looks nice in the menu so I order it without looking at other choices. The fact is, I'm too hungry at that time, so i need to have some rice! The fried pork meat on top is nice, crispy and tender meat with nice seasoning. The fried rice is coated with egg for every grain of rice, so it is in golden colour. The rice is really fragrant and with suitable moisture.

Would it be only us with my friend that we were so starving everything seemed just nice in our mouths At any chance, the pan fried gyoza that came first was chopped up immediately, where the pork juice was oozing in hotness and burnt our tongue. Least to say that I remembered the burnt bottom was crispy and hard, the way I like it! Taste-wise was balanced with soy sauce so it was more on the salty side for me.The pork chop fried rice in yangzhou style had a delicate hint of egg taste in the rice and the pork was succulent as you bite in. It was quite thick in its fillet so it was very much filling!
