The "souperholic" bugs are calling me. I headed to ARC (Alexandra Retail Centre) where The Soup Spoon is located having the idea in mind that this place will not be crowded. Spoilt with a variety of choices, we have a hard time to decide what soup for dinner. Ordered a Boston Clam Chowder set with Cesar salad and a cup of ice lemon tea for $14.20. We ordered an additional cup of ice lemon tea at $2.80 and share the set meal. Every spoonful of clam chowder consume consists of chunky potatoes cubes mixed with softened celery. Small bites of calm are found in every 2-3 spoonfuls of soup.Condiments of the soup includes Salsa (Tomato, peach, pineapple & coriander)Below shows an indicative nutritional content from a regular 375ml bowl of soup, excluding bread roll.Nutritional Content:Calories 425 calProtein 12 gCarbohydrates 29.2 gFat 20.4 gCesar salad dressing is light and yammy with fresh vegetables (Romaine lettuce), parmesan cheese, egg slice, sundried tomato & multigrain slice.Being a souperholic, I had accumulated all the points throughout my visits. A total bill of $17.00 was actually contra with rewards card and I have to pay only $0.50 for everything.Environment was cooling and quiet, just as expected. It is a good way to dine here if one wants to stay away from the crowd especially during weekends.RecommendationsThey do offer their soup for customers to take home. Each of their Take Home Soup packs come in a 600ml packaging and one pack serves two. All their soups do not contain preservatives or artificials and no MSG is added.

The different range of soups which are available from their menu really has attracted my attention and i decided to give it a try. Have tried their mushroom soup with puff pastry and was almost fallen in love with it. The mushroom flavour is thick and the texture of the soup is very creamy. The portion is quite generous and really love those fluffy pastry topped on the soup bowl as it is quite fragrant and not too oily or too dry. Delicious!
