Truffle Gourmet (丹戎巴葛)

I was looking for somewhere to eat in the club street area and I heard about TG from my friends so I gave it a try and I'm definitely coming back for more! Pasta is Truffle Gourmet's strong suit as they get adventurous in their delightful Cocoa Spaghetti. Don't be put off with the cocoa pasta as you'll only get a mild hint of chocolate only on the finishing bite. So there's no overpowering chocolate taste.. The Cocoa Spaghetti is accompanied with a delicious and creamy bisque-like sauce that has nods of lobster in it. Lovely from start to finish.
The next dish I tried was Iberico Pork. The meat cooked medium rare came with sweet marsala sauce, creamy sauteed potatoes and shavings of grated black truffles. TG uses pluma pork and it's one of the highest quality cuts of pork. Atmosphere is simple but relaxed. Great value for money and true to the restaurant's name, truffles adorned various of the Truffle Gourmet's dishes. So go try it out guys!

Came back with few friends to check out the white truffle menu since white truffle season is in!!

Ordered from the white truffle special menu - pasta with truffle, risotto with truffle, beef tartare with shaved truffle and some truffle caviar and the iberico pork!! Do check out my pictures!

I must say thou the beef tartare had less stronger flavor than I usually prefer, the beef was of very good quality and blends well with the white truffles shaving. I had some with the truffle caviar and was well mixed as i love stronger flavours.

The 2 pastas were done pretty al dente style - simple and the white truffles brought the dishes alive!!

My favorite out of the white truffle menu is the iberico pork! Done very tender with cooked potatoes base at the bottom. The taste of the truffle with the pork - simply sublime!!!!

I ended the night with a dessert sampler - strong recommend it thou i must say the choc tart with the truffle cream still remains as my favorite!
