Slightly embarrassed to say the least, but better late than never! So here's my long overdue review of Garage at Riverside Point!Wise decision, if I do say so myself. I had the Cornish Game Hen $31. It came with Squash purée, tomato, mushroom fricassée with sherry jus! The meat was very nicely done and the sauce unique, nice and thick! Also had apple cider beer for starters. Wise decision, if I do say so myself. I had the Cornish Game Hen $31. It came with Squash purée, tomato, mushroom fricassée with sherry jus! The meat was very nicely done and the sauce unique, nice and thick! Also had apple cider beer for starters. Apple cider was excellent, having a sweet tooth and a liking for beer certainly helped.

For dessert, I had the Valrhona Chocolate & Orange Fondant $15. It was a chocolate muffin with melted chocolate on the inside and German Riesling - OMYGOSH HEAVENLY PLEASE. Nuff said. Some of the other Open Ricers had a really cool dessert that came in little teaspoons, containing a mix of English Breakfast Tea and berries. Certainly one of the most unique desserts I've ever had!

All in all, I'd definitely recommend Wine Garage to anyone who's got a taste for sweet treats and a cool night out.

I cant recall what was the exact name of food that i tried that evening. So i ll just made a name for the dishes that i ate. Starters - Mini Wagyu foie-gras Burgers 3 mini burgers with wagyu beef patties and foie gras. I was telling our fellow open ricers on how it foei gras was "cultivated". Duck or Geese were typically forced fed to the point of (sometimes) death if the process is continued. Starters - Mini Wagyu foie-gras Burgers

So yeah...but still i did finish my share of foie-gras because it simply taste heavenly especially when it is coupled with wagyu beef.

Starters - Home Made keropok
This is no ordinary keropok, as the name entails - this is home made. Nothing special though, i have tried better keropok. Not worth the $$$.
If i could remember it was $10 for a platter of keropok. I can get a Sack of better keropok with $10. This dish is overrated.

Mains - Wagyu Beef Rump
The waiter didnt ask for how i want it to be done, well...i forgot to tell her as well. So it was served bloody rare. Not that i am complaining, i believe the chef had set a notion that wagyu beef has to be served bloody rare and no other way. The dish was served with musrooms and cut baby potatoes, and smeared with marmite sauce. The beef was vivalicous, light crisp on the outside and tender juicy inside. The portion however was less generous.

Drinks - Wine and Beer
Cant remember what wine i drank but the Beer deserves compliment. It was not draft beer nor home brewed beer. Brothers Pear Cider beer taste a little bit sourish and has a fragrant sweet after taste. For a moment i almost forgot that i was drinking a beer as it tasted somewhat like apple juice (yes i know - its pear not apple) with sandy. It doesnt feel that you are drinking a beer, but it contains 7% alcohol. So yes, try to control the intake and dont gulp it down as if it is fruit juice becuase this beer is so smooth and so easy on the throat.

Desert
It must have tasted so so as i Cant remember what did i eat.

Rich Risotto

Garage offers one of the best risotto I've ever had! Was contemplating whether to order the Wagyu Beef/Beef Cheeks or try something new! Glad that I made the right choice and ordered the Squash Risotto $23. The Gratinéed goat cheese perfectly complement otherwise subtle umami flavour of this creamy rice dish! Pleased that the short grains were not undercooked and loved how the baked pine nuts and thyme added depth to this smooth creamy-textured dish. Lovely. I could so imagine myself finishing 3

I could so imagine myself finishing 3 plates of this unknowingly. It's a little addictive.


It goes well with both beer and wine. Yup I had both! Oh if you are are a fan of tapas dishes just like me, try the Mini Wagyu ‘n’ Foie Burgers . It's awesome. I stole a piece from my pal. Ah will definitely be back to try more stuff from their new menu! Lovely!

Was there after work with good company. Good place to chill out and grab after work drinks and pair it with decadent food. Decor and ambience was modern and chic after the renovation. Having recently revamped their menu, I tried the following dishes:1) Wagyu Beef Rump - S$36Presentation was pleasant. The two thick pieces of beef are 75% cooked even though it is pinkish on the inside. It is soft and tender and the juice ooz out after every bite. Definiely one of the best beef steak I have ever ha

Presentation was pleasant. The two thick pieces of beef are 75% cooked even though it is pinkish on the inside. It is soft and tender and the juice ooz out after every bite. Definiely one of the best beef steak I have ever had. The mushroom not only makes the dish look beautiful, it also compliments with the meat. You should try this if you are a beef lover.

2) Mini Wagyu n Foie burger - S22
Comes in three mini wagyu beef burgers, the beef is just as good as the beef rump. So good that one mouthful and its all gone in a count of three. The foie's distinct taste gave these bite size burgers a unique edge. Excellent for starters.

3) Smoked Ocean Trout Blinis - S14
The mini cheese pancake with caviar toppings was delicate. Mini-pancake is soft and fresh while the caviar provides a refreshing taste that delights my palate. I like how the chef played with texture.

Service was prompt and pricing is reasonable for the generous servings here. Will be back.
