One of my favourite stalls in school is the Yong Tau Foo stall at the north canteen. There is 2 queues, clearly stated at the top of the stall, one for when you are queuing to pick your ingredients and the other for when you are queuing to wait for your food. The prices here are also somewhat cheaper than the ones offered at Koufu. I always get the curry soup with rice and they would segregate the fried food in another bowl and items like the egg in the soup. However I had wished they would cut the items into smaller bite sized portions which makes eating them easier.

Today ordered 8 items but was charged $2.60. Why? Aunty said I got 7 items (30 cents each) + tang hoon (50 cents each). The tang hoon is put together with the rest on the display shelf and its special price is not stated on the sign board. (Please note that rice, bee hoon, laksa soup all have the prices stated on the board). The tang hoon is cooked till soft and very easy to eat. The rest of the items such as beancurd skin and chicken cutlets are deep-fried till crispy. Overall it is still an ok meal.

It has been very long since I had last eaten Yong Tau Fu.Today, I went to the Yong Tau Fu stall at North Canteen for lunch, since the queue today was not that long. The Yong Tau Fus there are selling at 30 cents per piece, with minimum purchase of 7.I bought 2 boiled eggs, cabbage, brocolli, red pepper, bittergourd and baby cai sim ($2.10),with added rice (+ $0.30), total was $2.40 for the meal just now.As you can observed from the picture, the rice bowl was pouring full. They aunty gave me so much rice till I still feel very full until now The quality of the rice was not bad, not those soft type of rice. Thank god!The boiled eggs are B grade in size, was nicely boiled. The cabbage portion was just SOOO much that I think it was a quarter of a whole cabbage. And the rest of the vege are all fresh, not overcooked. Totally love them!!What a healthy and satisfying lunch I had!p/s: I ordered all-soup yong tau fu, didn't want to eat any fried ones Service was so-so. Price was affordable for students!Just a little crowded during lunch hour!

During lunch time, my friends and I sick of visiting Koufu again and again. And some more, Koufu is always very crowded. Thus, we made our decision to have our lunch at North canteen.I decided to go for Yong Tau Fu as the queue for that day was not that long. I had ordered kway tiao for this time. This was my first time ever ordered the Yong Tau Fu with kway tiao. The overall was quite satisfying. I personally feel that Yong Tau Fu at North canteen is much more tasty compare to Yong Tao Fu at Koufu.I love the sweetness of the soup and the price is cheap and reasonable too.

First time i eat this with noodles. Normally i prefer yong tau fu with plain rice but i wanted to try something different this time. It turns out that it is actually quite satisfying for me because it is not too full and bloated as compared to rice. I like the fried wantan and dumpling the most. I usually take more vegetables than fried stuff because i personally prefer healthier boiled food
