Wanted something cooling yet apart from the usual ice kachang etc. My first time with this stall and I looked at the board with many selections and there were 2 options for the gingko nuts dessert, either with or without barley and I settled for the latter one with cold ching teng at $2.20 to go. The gingko nuts were soft enough and the ching teng were slightly sweet.

Had a craving for desserts after my meal and being the only dessert stall in this food centre, I bought this ice kacang for $2.Most importantly, the ice shavings in this ice kacang are very rough, and there are small ice cubes inside. But there is a generous amount of sugar syrup, and the corn, red beans, and atah seeds are all to my liking. In conclusion, the ice shaving needs to be improved before it's worth $2.

Most of the desserts from this stall are selling at $2.00, definitely pricey particularly for something so simple like ice kachang. This food centre is conveniently located in town and i think that might be one of the reasons for such a high pricing. Other than that, this ice kachang was nice. I love the well balanced colors and sweetness and the surprises beneath that pile of shaved ice. I enjoyed the usual red beans, atap seeds and the really soft and chewy jelly cubes and not forgetting the sweet corns. It is definitely a good choice for our recent hot weathers.
