6 of us dropped into Buttero for dinner as one of our friends had mentioned that it was new. Wasn't especially keen on Italian food as my encounters with the cusine in Singapore hasn't been fantastic. There are some highlights on their menu though. We ordered to share:- Dirty Steak. We ordered to share:
- Dirty Steak. Very nice. Done medium (not my choice, I'd have preferred it rare) but it was moist, tender and very tasty. Very nicely charred on the outside, and the sprinkle of salt gives it a nice kick as well. I'd be back for this.
- Salt baked Barramundi - again another great dish. Fish was done very nicely, and set off with the crispy skin.
- Waffle-cut fries with pulled pork. Holy mother, this was gorgeous. Waffle-cut fries with pulled-pork and drizzled with cheese. Tasty, and just great if you pair it with a beer.
The place itself is fairly cosy and nicely done-up, with raw brick walls and a huge mural at the entrance. Music wasn't too loud (think we were louder sadly). Staff were attentive and service overall was good.
Overall, a very good experience, and I'll likely be back.
