It used to be the best but i think it is no longer so. I bought a packet when i was in ION other day and tried it earlier. There seemed to be a significant drop in the standard. The bak kwa tasted a little harder. I wonder whether does that gotta do with their supplier, Kim Joo Guan opened their own retail stores? The current price is $21.00 for a 500 grams of those small pieces of bak kwa and a rise in pricing is to be anticipated since Chinese New Year is just around the corner. That is the reason why i do not usually buy bak kwa during the Chinese New Year. I seriously do not believe in queuing long hours and paying extra for the same quality and quantity of bak kwa.
Are you a fan of Lim Chee Guan's bak kwa? If you are a fan too, have you eaten it recently? And, what is your opinion on their standard? Is it still as good or there is a drop?
