I usually skip breakfast on days at work, settling for a cup of coffee and if feeling peckish munch on biscuits from my desk's drawers. This Friday I wanted something substantial to cheer myself up and sauntered over to the Olio coffee lounge for a pick me up. Club sandwich on wholemeal bread or carrot cake? Decided on the latter which was not bad - not too sweet and studded with bits of grated carrot, sultanas and chopped walnuts. Had a flat white coffee to go with the cake. Today's brew was just a little too weak for me - I prefer my coffee to be
aromatic and full bodied, but no complaints since I didn't have to walk out of the office for my breakfast fix.
