Ayam Penyet is published as the signature dish of Cafe Rumah Sayang, much to my surprise. At $7.50, it is not worth my money at all. I went in and realized that they didn't have a good system of ordering.
While ordering, I ordered briyani and my wife ordered ayam penyet and after 1 min the guy came a told me there was no more briyani. I waited for my wife's order. For drinks. my wife ordered teh and I ordered bandung with chin chow. When it arrived, it was just bandung. I highlighted this and they returned with the right order only 5 mins later. The drink doesn't taste that fantastic.
10mins later, the ayam penyet is here and look at the photo above. The chicken doesn't look like ayam penyet but more like fried chicken. In addition, it is also tasteless. The soup is similarly bland and tasteless too.
