Visited Guild last Friday with a few friends. We were all completely blown away by the choice of drinks and food and the décor of the restaurant. First, on drinks, the restaurant has some excellent beer selection. It helps that Hong Kong's top most brewery, Young Master, is behind this restaurant. The beers taste fresh and are quite flavorful. On food, the dishes are authentic and very creative. The chef uses a lot of local Singaporean ingredients from Singaporean farms. We were told the frog legs are fresh and frogs are naturally reared! Also the fries had a great umami flavor to it, Mac & Cheese was to die for. That by far was my fav dish.
The décor is done very tastefully and it blends nicely into the shop house architecture. The big round bar in the center is a centerpiece and attracts visitors to sit at the bar. The rest of the décor flooring, furniture style of doors seem to give a very homey feel to the place. It feels like a place where you can spend a lot of time with friends and family and have a good meal and great beers.
