being hainanese, i suppose their star dish would be the hainanese chicken. And chicken rice of course. Oily grains of fragrant rice doused in chicken oil and cooked in stock. Yum. So while we're at it, why not steamboat. At $39 a set, this was steep but i guess you couldn't put a price on a steaming hot bowl of comfort on a dreadfully rainy day. The soup was good, after all the ingredients were boiled in it. But if you're here just for steamboat?I'd recommend otherwise.
