I had dinner with a friend in Paradise Inn a week and a few days ago, and it was unforgettable.

I have never known coffee can be used as a marinade for any meat and it was a delicious one indeed.

We ordered so many things, some exotic, like the black chicken soup, which I was too afraid to eat, I only slurped the soup, because the black chicken was not appetizing to me, but the soup was okay.

we also ordered their yang chow fried rice, their coffee pork, their sweet and sour chicken with yellow capsicum and two glasses of strawberry Iced Tea.

the Iced tea was definitely delicious and refreshing, If I didnt stop myself, I would have finished the whole glass in one gulp, but since drinks are very expensive here, I stopped myself and lovingly sipped through out the meal.

I did not know what to expect with the coffee pork, I had the idea that it might be savory and bitter, but when it arrived it almost tasted like the sweet and sour chicken, only it had the roasted coffee aroma and after taste. It was deliciou, but to rich to eat with little rice. You'd end up eating a bowlful of rice when you eat this surprising dish. After a while it becomes too sweet to eat for my taste, its like eating candied pork.

The sweet and sour chicken is a different story, I can eat it alone, even without rice or noodles. It was just the right sweetness and the chicken was cooked well that its not hard and stringy.

The thing that disappointed me in this restaurant though is that I found that my bill had a charge for the wet tissue that they served as well as the roasted peanuts that they served as appetizers. I just felt cheated that they would charge me for something that I didnt ask for (peanuts) and for something that should have been free or atleast complimentary (wet tissue).

But all in all my experience is good, I will definitely come back again to paradise in, but not as frequently as the other restaurants I love.
