Popped by The Daily Scoop for desserts on a Saturday afternoon and the place was already quite crowded with people. We managed to get a table though and proceeded to place our orders. Service was okay, and our requests to sample various ice cream flavours were met. We decided to settle for double scoop ice cream: mocha mania and mao shan wang flavours. I really liked the mocha flavour a lot. Amidst the rich chocolately flavour, you can also detect a tinge of bitterness from the coffee. It fits its description very well: the best of both worlds for coffee and chocolate fiends. The mao shan wang was also smooth and rich with durian flavour. The durian fruit fleshed has been pureed into this ice cream flavour and you can taste some of the durian pulp embedded in the the ice cream. I did think the durian flavour could have been stronger though.
