There are more and more dessert chains in Singapore. One of them is Dessert Story. Their dessert story dated back to 2006 from a humble stall in Hougang. It serves great tasting Traditional Chinese Dessert (or “Tong Shui” as it is known in Cantonese) and has built up a large base of loyal customers.(source from Dessert Story website)I have yet to try their cold dessert but for the hot dessert they were quite good. I tried both the Yam Paste and Tang Yuan dessert. For the Yam Paste, it came with gingko nuts and pumpkin which balanced the sweetness.
For the Tang Yuan, I ordered both the sesame and peanut tang yuan with peanut soup. It was a triple enjoyment tasting all the 3 different flavours. I like the concept of using peanut soup with the tang yuan instead of just eating them plainly.
