The San Lao Hor Fun has heavy “wok hei” taste/smell on the white horfun with light charring. Taugeh (beansprouts) is very crunchy and compliments the flavourful horfun well. I think it’s sincere of them to clean the beansprouts properly. The fish is really really fresh as it is firm and it almost tastes sweet.

The chalky XO fish soup when first presented, visually appealing with the bright orange bowl, had a robust full bodied aroma that makes you want to dunk your head into the bowl immediately. Fried fish , consistently fresh with the hor fun’s. And the thick rice noodle soaks up the goodness of the XO fish soup.
