We were shopping at AMK Hub on one weekend and saw a group of people, dressed like scientists, surrounding a counter. I was wondering why the “lab workers” were in a shopping mall. So I dragged Love <3 to check out the counter.Just as we approached the counter, vast amount of "smoke" came out from a mixer. Then we realized it is Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream! I remember seeing it in one of the Polytechnics’ Open House!
Anyway, it is a new method of making ice cream. A Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) is added to a mixture while stirring it using a mixer. This process fast freezes the mixture into semi-solid state, like an ice cream within minutes!
They highly recommend their Durian flavor and so we ordered that. After making the payment, that's where the excitement began, as we monitor how our Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream was being made. The Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream is very smooth and creamy. They have added real durian flesh into the mixture hence the flavor is very strong. Yummy!
