The version I got from Food Republic lacked chin chow and evaporated milk that should have been drizzled atop the shaved ice together with the colourful syrups. Instead of pyramid shaped ice kachang the stallholder made a narrow ice column (see photo) so I did not get any satisfaction from demolishing spoonful by spoonful the mound of sweet milky shaved ice that I usually enjoy doing elsewhere. The narrow ice column at Food Republic Collapsed within 5 minutes.Poor value when they charge 25% more for the ice kachang compared with other food courts.
