I initially baulked at the high pice tag of their signature Lam's abalone noodles ($6), so i decided to give their slightly cheaper Lam's Special Noodle. It's a self service concept where you have to place your order at the counter and wait for it to be prepared. You also have a choice of noodles, I decided on mee pok.

So what makes Lam's noodles different from the usual bak chor mee? There are lots of various ingredients inside this bowl besides the usual minced pork and fishball- including half a ramen egg and prawn. The sauce used in the noodles is a nice savoury brown sauce which really goes well with the chewy meepok noodles and a sprinkling of pork lard. Although the serving of noodles in each bowl isn't a lot, the noodles were quite tasty and I would like to try their abalone noodles the next time!
