Was here for dinner. There was a long queue as expected. Other than being peak timing for meals, also because it is a Friday.The salmon sashimi was not chilled upon contact with the tongue. Zaru soba: Hmm... probably not gonna eat this again, it was too hard to chew. this one doesnt come with quail egg (raw). I prefer their cha soba. but then again, as i later realised, it may be coz today's standards not up to par.
Ikura chawanmushi. initially i was impressed to see so much roe on top of the steamed egg verdict: can be much better. roe doesnt taste as fresh as other times.
This Japanese styled 'calamari' was surprising not bad. the squid meat was not rubbery at all. neither was it soggy. flour batter was fried till super crispy, akin tempura crumbs. best dish here this eveningThe service was reasonably good considering the crowd and it being peak meal time. some servers were forgetful.
