Recently there was a new Thai stall open in kopitiam, the staffs were all Thai people, speaking only basic english. There was quite a queue during lunch time. Hence I went to order their daily special Set B at $6.90.The Set B consisted of Pandan rice, Fried boneless chicken leg and Papaya salad. The wait for the order was quite long, about 15 minutes for my set.The pandan rice was green in colour, though I could not smell or taste any pandan flavour. The pandan rice was green in colour, though I could not smell or taste any pandan flavour. The rice they used was white rice, not Thai Jasmine rice.
The fried boneless chicken leg was very good, crispy on the outside and tender in the meat. The outer layer had the marinated taste of spices and tumeric.
The papaya salad was disappointing, I could not taste any papaya flavour in the raw papaya , the salad was only crispy, sweet and sour.
Overall, the boneless chicken leg was very good, I hope I could just buy the chicken meat and ate with plain rice.
